    • A single dwelling can only have two concurrent booking transactions. 
    • The City prohibits any nuisance activities, such as parking issues, noise, or odors. Moreover, the property must comply with the Municipal Code and State Law. 
    • Prior to the issuance of the permit, the City requires an on-site inspection for safety and compliance.
    • Hosts must acquire a Business License Tax Certificate and a Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate (TOT)
    • The host or hosting platform must calculate and remit Transient Occupancy Tax to the City every month. 

    Zoning Laws 

    The property must be located in one of the following Residential Planning Zones: Very Low, Low, Low Medium, or a single-family dwelling in another residential zone. In addition, Rancho Cucamonga prohibits STRs in Commercial or Industrial Zones.     Business License Application 

    Property owners can apply for a Business License online. The application must include all the required information. Business licenses are renewed on an annual basis and are based on the start date of your business in the City. 

    Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT)

    Transient Occupancy Tax shall be calculated at a rate of 10%, and the hosting platform or the host must remit it to the City on a monthly basis.
