Due to Burlington’s recent implementation of their new short-term rental policies there are no current Municipal Accommodation Taxes (MAT) applied to any short-term rentals within the municipal boundaries. Expect MAT legislation to be discussed and implemented for early - mid 2026.

The answer is yes! In Burlington as of May 1, 2025 any rental under 30 consecutive days must obtain a Short-Term Accommodation licence issued by the city.
